Volunteer Training Orientation 

Overview

• Course was designed as an on-boarding for volunteers who want to work with children.

• Purpose is to train individuals on the commitment, rules, safety and emergency protocols. 

Problem/Solutions

• Recruiting of volunteers occurs only 1-2 times a year via ILT. This is not always convenient for individuals. 

• This e-Learning course can be used year long for volunteer training.

Interview Training Protocol

Overview

Conflict Resolution Video

Overview

• This short video was designed to provide a step-by-step approach to conflict resolution.

• Purpose is to help individuals sort through a disagreement in a peaceful and respectful way. 

Problem/Solutions

• Often times anger is the first emotion to be emitted, however the underlying issues are never focused on because individuals don't have the skills to get get past the anger. 

• Knowing how to resolve conflicts allows the relationship (whether personal or professional) to remain intact and perhaps stronger.

Food Safety Vyond Video

Overview

• This short video was designed to provide information on the proper food safety such as temperature, storage, and cross contamination.

• Purpose is to help restaurant workers understand the hazards of pathogens and proper food safety. 

Problem/Solutions

• Food temperature is one of the most important aspects of food safety as well as cross contamination. 

• Knowing how to combat food hazards can reduce food borne pathogens growing and making people sick.

• Course was designed as either an ILT or VILT. This PowerPoint deck is the facilitators guide, which contains all the answers, whereas the participants guide is identical but without answers. 

• Purpose is to provide content to individuals about the different categories of life.

• Adults are unaware that there are 5 groups in which living things are categorized in to and the misconceptions as to which category those living things would be placed. 

• It is important to have an understanding of where living organisms fit into our world.
